HOW TO PLAY

1. ROLL DICE TO CALCULATE THE NUMBER OF MOVIES YOU NEED TO SAY

2. PICKUP ACTOR CARD & START TIMER

3. NAME MOVIES OF THAT ACTOR TO EARN POINTS

HELP & ATTACK CARDS

HELP CARDS

If you need help you can use a Help Card. These cards have actions for example: changing the actor card and picking a new one from the top of the deck, reducing the number of movies you have to say to just one movie or flipping the challenge to the opposing team, among other things.

If you want to help a member of the team you can sacrifice your Help Card by discarding it. If you do this you can assist him or her on that turn in any way you want and with no restriction, even by answering completely all the movies he or she has to say.

ATTACK CARDS CARDS

You can use these cards right after a member of the opposing team has answered correctly. Add a minute to the timer when using these cards. If the rival team is not able to complete the task written on the Attack Card they don’t receive the points they were about to earn. But if they do complete the task, they keep their points. You discard these cards after using them, and just like Help Cards, recycle them after a special turn is over.

If one of your companions considered that you need help on your turn they flip this card to the red side to help you complete the task in any way they can, by making you remember or by answering for you.

Once the card is facing the Red side that player can’t help others until two rounds have passed. This avoids one player always answering for the rest.

WHAT ELSE?

SPECIAL TURN

After 2 rounds, when both teams have played twice, a special turn is played. To play this turn you must randomly pick and reveal up to 20 actors’ cards from previous turns.

For many this is their favorite turn cause everything can change in a minute, flipping the results of the game. The adrenaline of finding connections between artist before your opponent does, generate a rush of adrenaline making Red Carpet and intense trivia game.

All players from both teams play simultaneously and they must point or name out loud the actors that have worked together and in what film. For every connection, the team gets 2 points. You can’t repeat the same connections and films on the next special turn. This turn last 1 minute.

WHO AM I?

This is my story:

Hi, my name is André Fontana. I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina and I love Card Games and Board Games. My two biggest passions are music and creating board games.

I used to gather with a group of friends from high school to watch movies and play board games. Often,  some of us would fall asleep during the movies or we would get bored of playing the same games over and over. Back then, we only knew the classics like Monopoly, Clue, Trivial Pursuit, Risk, etc.

That was the moment when I combined movies and board games and created RED CARPET. This was the beginning of my journey. Since then, I created many cards games and board games, as well as party games and drinking games. Most of them are very simple and are not intended to be published.

In 2016, I finally decided to dedicate myself to really get to know the industry and to publish my ideas. I hope you can join me on this adventure in creating awesome and fun games so that we can connect more with the people we love in an exciting, entertaining and different way.
